The dietary use of essential oils may be one of the most effective ways of unlocking their health benefits. Many essential oils have been used as food flavorings, or as a part of patent medicines, for centuries, endowing them with a long history of safe use.
It's something you really ought to try.
How to make infused oil:
- Add 10 drops of essential oil to 1 ounce of mixing oil, or another pure, food-grade cooking oil and shake together.
- Store your infused oil in a glass container, away from light, in cool cupboard.
- Use by the teaspoon for salad dressings, cream sauces, frostings and basting for meat, fish and fowl.
One pure drop = 1 ounce dried herb.
