Essential Oils That Can Help You Achieve Your Goals
Harnessing aromatherapy's power in overcoming obstacles along the way

Essential oils can be wonderfully useful tools for achieving your goals and dreams, in all sorts of areas of your life. Your goal could be anything from success in business to weight loss, or whatever else you might have in mind to accomplish.
Help in getting started
Sometimes, just getting started is what you find difficult. I love the impetus blend for help in getting started and overcoming procrastination. I use it when I'm not motivated to exercise, before starting any job I'd rather put off, when I'm not motivated to work on my business, when I'm not motivated to write this newsletter, … and the list goes on.
I even keep a bottle of the impetus blend next to my bed for the mornings when I wake up feeling like I'd rather go back to sleep. (I also love energy blend for that.)
Put the impetus blend on your temples, on your sternum, and put the energy balancing blend on your feet, and then rub the moving forward blend under your nose, or on the throat, and you're ready to go.
Overcoming fear or a sense of inadequacy
If you have a fear of failure, or a lack self-esteem or confidence in your abilities, try some the energy balancing blend. It helps to balance the electrical energies within the body, giving courage and confidence. It helps you to overcome fear and opposition, and creates feelings of calmness, peace and relaxation. The energy balancing blend is wonderful for courage with anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or nervous.
Combating others' negativity
Have you ever noticed how you can feel your energy drop when you spend time with some people? You just begin to feel blah! Well, it's not your imagination.
Some people just seem to radiate negativity; and that negativity can seriously affect how you feel; it can drain your energy and rob you of the power to succeed in whatever you're trying to accomplish. These people can literally steal your dreams and success in life. If you're involved with people like this, you're in a toxic relationship.
The protective blend is a wonderful tool for protecting yourself from the negative energy you would pick up from these people. It's a must for natural health practitioners who are in contact with people every day. Apply it to your shoulders, and wear it as a perfume.
Creating attraction for success
Editor's Disclaimer:
Some people invest in the oil of plenty an almost magical power. I don't personally subscribe to this notion.
This is a very nice blend of therapeutic-grade essential oils, and I'd recommend it to anyone; but the oils are natural products. They can have powerful physical, mental and emotional effects; but investing them with "a magnetic field of prosperity and abundance" is — at the very least — bordering on witchcraft.
If your goal is a successful business, the oil of plenty blend is excellent. It was specifically created to enhance your magnetic energy, and create a kind of law of attraction in you; a magnetic field of prosperity and abundance.
I wear it every day as a perfume, diffuse it, and put several drops of it in the cleaning water when I clean my office. I put a drop of the oil of plenty blend on everything I mail out for my business.
When I wear the oil of plenty blend in public, I get many comments on how wonderful I smell, and questions on how to get the oil. One friend of mine always gives me a hug so he can smell the oil I'm wearing. He says he always feels better just getting a whiff of me.
If you're building a business, you really need this oil blend.
Editor's note: The oil of plenty blend also has great benefit for those dealing with a depressed mood. Some years ago, my wife was having terrible side-effects from an SSRI medication, and oil of plenty blend was one of the oils she used — very successfully — to not only get off the medication, but get over her need for medication.
Essential oils with the Emotional Freedom Technique
Editor's Disclaimer:
Several years ago, my chiropractor (at that time) introduced me to EFT. As a Christian, I was very uncomfortable about the whole concept — especially the self-focused affirmations.
I can't say whether or not EFT "works" or not; I never really gave it a chance. But it is definitely not something that I'd recommend to anyone.
Again, it seems to smack of the occult.
I recently started using essential oils along with a very useful technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). With EFT, you tap on various meridian points on your body while focusing on an issue you're wanting to change. You start on the outside edge of the hand, called the Karate Chop Point. (For a diagram and instructions, visit the ProSperity Place website.)
While tapping the Karate Chop Point, say a setup phrase 3 times, filling in the issue you want to focus on. For example: If you are working on lack of motivation, while tapping on the Karate Chop Point say, "Even though I have a lack of motivation, I deeply love and accept myself." Repeat this 3 times.
When you have finished with the Karate Chop Point, then move to the other meridian points, saying a reminder phrase on each point. If the issue is the lack of motivation, the reminder phrase could be, "Lack motivation" or "no motivation".
EFT is really helpful all by itself, but adding an essential oil to the points before you begin tapping really adds to the effectiveness.
A note of caution in using the oils:
When using essential oils, it's very important that you be careful not to get any in your eyes. For this reason, you might want to avoid using the oil on the three eye points.
Another option that can be quite effective is to place a drop of oil to your finger, let it dry, and then tap those points.
For lack of motivation, you could use the impetus blend or the energy blend. I use either when I'm not motivated to exercise. For that, I would use a setup phrase like: "Even though I'm not motivated to exercise, I deeply love and accept myself."
If you're working on procrastination, use the phrase: "Even though I procrastinate, I deeply love and accept myself". Use the impetus blend or the receiving blend.
Oil blends I love to use with EFT for all kinds of issues:
- The impetus blend,
- The energy balancing blend,
- The oil of plenty blend,
- The fullest possibilities blend,
- The accord blend,
- The oil of gladness blend,
- The enlarge your vision blend,
- The tranquility blend,
- The letting go blend, and
- The protective blend.
Lavender oil would be another excellent oil to use, since it's useful for so many things. It's often called the "universal oil".

Webmaster's Note: The statements made in this article are not necessarily in accord with my own. While I have found many of these blends to be helpful, much as they are presented here, I don't subscribe to the belief that we can create our own reality by visualization or affirmation techniques.
I recommend (spiritual) discernment in how you apply the things in this article to your own life.
