Our policies and what you can expect when ordering
Although Health-Essentials.info is set up as an informational website, there have been some excellent resources offered on this site for sale. However, as a business streamlining measure, these products have been transferred to the dōTERRA Aromatics.com™ website. The following information generally outlines the ordering policy of that website.
A note about Better Business Bureau On-Line status
For over five years (from February 2002 to August 2007), Health-Essentials.info was a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau of Lincoln, Nebraska. That membership required that I transact business with the highest ethical standards and actively work to resolve any disputes with my customers.
Such dispute resolution was always theoretical; in the years that I've been in business, there has never been a dispute. My goal has always been your complete satisfaction.
But, in 2007, the Better Business Bureau significantly raised its membership fees. As a small business with a perfect record of customer satisfaction, I could no longer justify the expense. However, I remain committed to the standards by which this business was built.
Convenience and security in ordering
Ordering is both convenient and safe.
- Health-Essentials.info, as a "daughter" company to Anson Digital Concerns, accepts payment from all the major credit cards, as well as PayPal.
- The order form is secured with the latest SSL encryption, and processed through Authorize.Net, following the best practices for on-line transactions.
- Payment information is then stored off-server in a secure, encrypted state; and access to your information is strictly limited to the owner — that's me. (We don't even have a cleaning lady; I do that, too.)
- If you would prefer to pay by check or money order, that option is welcomed, as well.
With these options available for ordering, purchasing resources from Health-Essentials.info is as convenient as it gets; and with the security of the ordering process, you can be assured that your transactions are as safe as if conducted by telephone. (Want to know more about security?)
Shipping Policy
It's my policy to strive to give you the best customer service anywhere. Orders will generally be processed and on their way to you the same day they're received. All orders will be shipped within 72 hours of receipt.
Your order will be confirmed by return e-mail from the credit card processing center, and an e-mail will be sent from me when your order is processed and shipped.
Shipping Methods
All orders will be shipped through the United States Postal Service (unless they are drop-shipped from my supplier, which is fairly rare).
- For standard shipping, that generally means Media Mail or First Class Mail . Your order could be en-route for up to 10-14 days; however, my experience has been that it's usually closer to 5-7 days.
- For Second Day service, your order will be shipped by Priority Mail.
Ordering from outside the 48 contiguous United States
While I welcome orders from around the world, several factors make it more complicated to fulfil your order if it's placed from outside the US. If you order from outside the 48 contiguous United States, shipping costs are generally higher, and sometimes duties and such are applied. In some cases, shipping cost as much as the product ordered; and it can be very difficult to accurately calculate costs until the the order is packaged.
For any order placed from outside the 48 contiguous United States, I reserve the right to cancel your order and refund your credit card charges (minuse credit card processing fees) if you have not chosen a shipping method that will cover my actual costs. (See below.)
If ordering from Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada …
When placing an order on this website from outside the contiguous 48 states of the US, shipping charges can increase substantially. While some small items can get by with standard shipping rates, the Essential Oils Desk Reference costs me more than $38.00 UDS to ship, and I simply cannot afford to eat that cost and must charge more for shipping. Therefore, for the smoothest transaction possible, please upgrade your shipping option on the shipping page of checkout:
- If you want standard shipping, please choose the Next Day Shipping option.
- If you would like an expedited shipping method, choose the International shipping options.
Failure to do so willresult in the cancellation of your order. Any extra that you pay will be refunded to your credit card.
Return/Canceled Order Policy
If you're unhappy with any of the books you've ordered, I'd be happy to refund the purchase price (minus shipping & handling costs), as long as the books are returned in excellent (that is, in re-sellable) condition. If they look used or banged up when I receive them, I can't give a refund.
If you wish to return a book, please contact me for authorization, and plan to send the book(s) back well-packaged and insured. (This is for your protection.) Payment will be returned to you as soon as I confirm the condition of the returned books.
For any of the videos, CD's or tapes, I can't offer a refund unless the product is either unopened or defective. Contact me for return instructions (they will be similar to the above).
If, after ordering, but before product is shipped, you decide to cancel your order, I reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover my expenses. Ordering is free, to you the customer; however, I am charged a fee by my credit card processor, both when you order and when I refund your order.
A Goal of Satisfaction and Fairness
It's my goal to see that, as much as is in my power and means, you're satisfied with your experience with my company. In all that I do, I try to offer the best products available and to treat you fairly. Whatever the problem you might have with your experience here, let me know, and I'll do whatever I can to make it right with you.
